The British Trust for Ornithology lists a total of 619 bird species that have been recorded in a wild state in Great Britain as of January 2020. Of these, some 270 (as listed by the RSPB) are most likely to be seen, although even some of these are difficult to find, whereas most of the remainder are very rare visitors and unlikely to be seen at all. I have now photographed 237 bird species in the UK, 209 of which are on the RSPB's list, and am trying to photograph as many as I can of the rest.
